Reviews of Thordeman's
Armour from the Battle of Wisby

"For good reason, this is considered the comprehensive volume of armour of the 14th C. Available once again in limited edition re-print, this is not just an archaeological account of the finds in the Wisby mass graves (though those details are amazing all on their own). It is also an extremely well researched comparative analysis of the Wisby finds versus other relevant finds and artistic references contemporary to those of Wisby, offering a well-rounded view and hard-to-come-by references and photographs. I don't know how I got along without this book. -E.S."
