It begins with early European armour, then proceeds on thoughout mediaeval history to end with 16th century plate. I consider it worth the price I paid for it, and a must for those who can't find, or can't afford Arms and Armour of the Medieval Knight. -K.G."
"Being that it is rather old, it is best used by someone who can distinguish between the accurate information and the sketchy stuff. Nevertheless, this is a good book and much more plentiful (and affordable) than Arms and Armour of the Medieval Knight. Lots of good pictures that are not commonly found, too. As noted, though, a little cross-referencing is in order to verify the information for those who are totally new to the subject. -E.S."
