Reviews of Edge & Paddock's
Arms & Armour of The Medieval Knight

"This is a must-have book for the researcher of medieval Western European arms and armour.

Covering from the early medieval period through the 17th C., I don't believe there is a better overview out there. It covers all the pertinent information-- century by century, what weapons were used and how they developed, and what armour was used to counteract the development of the weapons, both in the "knightly" class and the "soldier" class. Lots of great pictures, including a few of the inside of armour.

No personal library should be without this book. While out of print, copies can still be found online or elsewhere. -E.S."

"This should be the first book in any medieval European martial artist's library. -B.H."
