Therion Arms

Hal Siegel, know as Therion Calgate in the SCA and Western Martial Arts and online communities, was in the spring of 1982 busy setting up a weapons display for the Pennsylvania State University Museum of Anthropology when a fellow grad student wandered by and asked if he'd heard of the SCA, a place where one could "really fight in armor!"

Therion strapped on his first freon can helmet and carpet armor that weekend, and the rest is history.

Twenty years later, after working as a librarian, helping to pioneer electronic cataloging and the early development of the Internet (ARPAnet), earning a master's degree in Information Science, and five years chained in a cubicle helping to develop the AMD Athlon microchip, Hal finally shucked off his last polo shirt, flipped the boss the bird, and turned full time to his hobby - world antique weaponry and SCA/Western Martial Arts arms and armor.

TherionArms is the culmination of twenty years of research, collection, and armored combat experience, and is proud to offer only the finest reproduction armor and weaponry. You'll never find cheap third-world fantasy swords or junk armor masquerading as "combat-ready" at TherionArms.
