This page represents arms and armour owned and modeled by Hal Siegel. A collector and re-enactor, Hal is also the proprietor of TherionArms.com.
The overall armor, costume, and weapons is that of a reasonably sucessful Landesknecht captain, circa 1550. Hal has obtained different parts of his costuming from different sources. The zweihander (2 hand sword) was produced by Museum Replicas Limited, and the pistol is a Schroter Arms wheellock kit constructed and modified by Syke's Sutlery. The black & white armour is Valentine Armoury's copy of a piece from Nuremburg, and was custom built for Hal in 1998. It is constructed of 18 gauge high carbon steel for all body parts, 16 ga for helmet. The black parts are painted, silver parts are bare steel. Helmet has detachable face grill for recreationist combat. The weight estimated in the 50-60 lbs. range.
The shirt and pants were made by Dolly Blunt, and was produced by studying old manuscripts and woodcut illustrations and designing the patterns in her head.
