These pictures are from the "Koninklijk Museum van het Leger en de Krijgsgeschiedenis" in Brussels, Belgium.

"This collection includes various objects well-known to the enthusiast, such as the Cinquada of the d'Este family mentioned by Oakeshott in 'archaeology of weapons' and the horse cuissard mentioned by Ffoulkes in 'the armourer and his craft'."

"Given the interest shown for my page on the Venice armoury, I decided to put up some pictures from the collection at the Royal War Museum in Brussels. The picture quality is not that great, since I used a 200ASA film, which is not really appropriate for this kind of interior shots. The reflections on the display cases are rather bad as well."

"Descriptions are from the catalog, I hope I identified the pieces correctly. Enjoy!"

Eli has also provided excellent galleries of The Royal Museum of the Army and Military History in Brussels, Belgium and Armeria of the Doge's Palace in Venice, Italy. Eli's Western Martial Arts homepage can be found here.
