As many people have no doubt noticed based on the huge flood of email I've received since 9/2/05, our Discussion Forums were hacked. The hack was so thorough as to wipe out all members, forums, posts, history and backups. This was a major loss to us, as there had been many fine and thorough posts on our forums thanks to many dedicated and knowledgeable contributors. Alas, its all gone.
We're now in the process of developing an all-new site that will include not only the subject of armour, but also historical martial arts, warfare and knighthood, medieval and renaissance culture, and hopefully even be able to touch on important subjects that are within the realm of our studies, such as historical clothing, art, literature, etc. By limiting the study of armour strictly to itself, we perpetuate our own 'dark age' of misunderstanding its place and historical context, bringing about the common misconceptions and failures that are so common in the medieval community.
The name of this site is Living History Library, and you can get on the mailing list for site launch updates at www.livinghistorylibrary.org. We hope you will be patient as we get the new site launched, and will join us once again in the spirit of knowledge, camaraderie and mutual understanding that made Arador our home for so very long.
With many thanks,
