R.J. Leahy "Not only do they have
the best prices I've found yet, I can order online, and the quality of the rivets
(as in the size of the rivets being dead-on spec.) is better."

Metalworks "Has small metalworking tools, and copper
and brass sheet and wire."
Bonny Doon Engineering "Mushroom formers (for plate armour) have a 1" diameter shank for use with the master holder and are a true machined dome with
no flat spots. They are supplied with a matching steel cup if desired."
Eastwood Company "For higher quality tools. They deal with
autobody work but carry many metalworking tools
that are useful for
armouring, and everything they offer is top
quality. They've got everything
from metal fabrication stuff to buffing supplies."
Harbor Freight "The
fact is that their tools are not high quality, but
they are the cheapest
tools I've ever found, and they have many tools you
can't find elsewhere."
Kayne & Son "They actually sell new leg vices amongst some other metalwork stuff such as hammers etc."
Metalcraft Tools "I'd like very much to be able to afford a power-hammer or english wheel. They also carry leather shot
bags, wooden and leather mallets, more tools, and
instructional books and videos."
Metalworks "Has small metalworking tools, and copper
and brass sheet and wire."
Wholesale Tool "They have everything
from imported metal benders, to American made multi-thousand dollar metal plant
machines. They even carry anvils of various sizes, Whitney punches, electric and hand cranked
bead rollers, and much more. They have an online order form and will mail big
phonebook sized catalogs too."
Wire and Rings
Kencove "I get stainless steel wire, 19 gauge, from Kencove
Farm Fence."
McMaster Carr "The people are generally
really helpful, and as a
supply warehouse, I've never had to wait on
anything from them."
Metalworks "Has small metalworking tools, and copper
and brass sheet and wire."
Paramount Wire Co. "They carry a large selection of wire
and sheet metal."
Rio Grande "Jewelry making
materials, raw copper from
20 gauge up to 16 gauge, and raw brass for the same
gauges. So far
they've been the only reliable supplier of brass
wire that I've found. I use them because they are friendly, prompt
(orders arrive in two
days!), and relatively inexpensive. If
you sign up for their catalogs (free) they'll send
it to you airmail
within 2-4 days."
Rosco "A fishing supplies manufacturer that carries many sizes of stainless
steel butt rings. Good delivery time and cheaper than most that supply
them for armor. They also have split rings (like key rings.)"
