Basic Armouring- A Practical Introduction to Armour Making

by Paul Blackwell

The Arador Armour Library would like to thank the fine folks at Brighthelm and of course Mr. Paul Blackwell for their kind permission to publish Basic Armouring here at Arador. While generally geared towards the construction of sport combat armour, it prevails as an invaluable resource for the absolute beginner. The terminology is British (example, a "mop" instead of "buffing wheel") so keep this in mind as you read and ask at the Forum if you require clarification. (see also: An Introduction to the Skill of Making Armour and An Armourer's Basic Safety Guidelines)

To view this downloadable book, you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0 or newer, which is free. The entire Basic Armouring book can be downloaded all at once, or section by section.
